WE GOT OUR CONSULATE APPOINTMENT !!!!!

Quick update, I have SO much to do. We got our consulate appointment today :) !!!!

Our travel dates are July 22nd - Aug 7th.

We are working on tickets, trying to get a decent fare.

I only have 2 other days I am not working, between now and when we leave - so lots to do, but I don't care I am just SO happy that I will be holding my girl in 13 days.

About Me

I am a busy wife, mom and pediatric nurse. I have lived in and loved three countries, Australia, England and the the USA. I have three amazing sons, and two beautiful daughters. Our three youngest children were born in our hearts, but came to us via China. Both of our daughters came to us with special needs, Mia had a cleft lip and palate and Lily has a heart condition called tricuspid atresia, she also has pulmonary hypertension, and significant developmental delays. What means the most to me is my faith and my family. I am passionate about orphans, and in my small way I am trying to make a difference. Life is messy and as much as I want it to be neat and perfect it is not. I am a work in progress. I dream big, but have realized it is the little things in life that mean the most. In this I am learning to find contentment and fulfillment, in the quiet moments and in the chaos. Life moves fast and I want to treasure every moment of it, so who cares if the laundry never all gets done!!

7/7/09 All homesudy paperwork mailed to AWAA
8/12/09 Second homestudy visit and submitted waiting child application
9/17/09 Fourth social work visit and signed off on the homestudy
10/5/09 British background check arrived
8/13/09 Third social work visit - individual interviews
10/16/09 Recieved notorized copy of homestudy
1/4/10 I-800A filed
1/27/10 REFERRAL for Lilly recieved
2/2/10 Fingerprints done for I-800A
2/19/10 Recieved I-800A approval
3/12/2010 DTC
3/22/10 LID (log in date)
5/14/10 Recieved RA
5/17/10 Sent I-800
6/7/10 I-800 approved
7/1/10 Article 5 issued
7/9/10 TRAVEL APPROVAL
7/22/10 Leaving for CHINA
