The boys are Baptized

What a special weekend we have had. Both Benjamin and Ethan were water baptized. Unlike some Christian denominations that practice infant baptism, we believe that a person should be baptized when they are old enough to understand what it means and to make the decision for themselves. Therefore when our children are infants we dedicate them to God and promise to raise them according to the bible and the teachings of Christ. The boys have been asking us for a while if they could be baptized, and we have had numerous conversations over the last year talking about what it means. It was such an emotional time to see them enter the pool and be baptized by there grandpa(Papa) and dad(Chris). We are so proud of both of them, it is a privilege, and joy to be there parents. It was great to have all the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends there. Our church had rented the pool so afterwards we had ice cream and a pool party, we swam until 10:30pm. What a great night!!
