Our first family day out with Lily

This is very rare - my nine year old holds my hand

Guess who was hiding behind our heads?

Ahhh in the arms of big brother

Yum chips - actually I just want the bag :)

About Me

I am a busy wife, mom and pediatric nurse. I have lived in and loved three countries, Australia, England and the the USA. I have three amazing sons, and two beautiful daughters. Our three youngest children were born in our hearts, but came to us via China. Both of our daughters came to us with special needs, Mia had a cleft lip and palate and Lily has a heart condition called tricuspid atresia, she also has pulmonary hypertension, and significant developmental delays. What means the most to me is my faith and my family. I am passionate about orphans, and in my small way I am trying to make a difference. Life is messy and as much as I want it to be neat and perfect it is not. I am a work in progress. I dream big, but have realized it is the little things in life that mean the most. In this I am learning to find contentment and fulfillment, in the quiet moments and in the chaos. Life moves fast and I want to treasure every moment of it, so who cares if the laundry never all gets done!!
